SUMMARY:Explorador na Herdade da Mitra - conhecer os sobreiros desde o campo ao laboratório
DESCRIPTION:Esta proposta integrada no programa Júnior Summer School\, cujo público alvo serão alunos\ndo secundário\, tem como objetivo conhecer o sobreiro e a cortiça desde o campo ao\nlaboratório\, através de visitas de campo na Herdade da Mitra para compreender os\npovoamentos florestais e o seu principal produto\, a cortiça\, com vista à sustentabilidade e\nà valorização da região. O conhecimento da teoria à prática\, através de voos com drone e\natividades nos laboratórios para melhor conhecer esta espécie serão os pontos chave do\nprograma. Será uma semana de muita atividade e passeios no campo\, onde ficarão também\na conhecer os arbustos e outras árvores da nossa paisagem.

SUMMARY:Earth Systems Summer School 2025
DESCRIPTION:As in previous years\, the Earth Systems Summer School will once again take place\, organized by the Universities of Évora\, Lisbon\, Aveiro\, and Coimbra\, with support from the CREATE\, IDL\, CESAM\, CIEMAR\, MARE/ARNET\, and IPMA. \nThis year’s edition will be hosted by the University of Évora from July 13 to 18 and is designed for doctoral and postdoctoral students specializing in Earth System Science. Topics covered include Meteorology and Climate\, Physical Oceanography\, Geology\, Geodesy\, Geophysics\, and Environmental Sciences. \nThe program features lectures by renowned national and international scientists\, hands-on data analysis sessions\, and a field trip to Sines. The central theme of the summer school explores the dynamics of Earth’s interconnected systems—the solid Earth\, oceans\, atmosphere\, and biosphere—and their complex interactions. \nMore information here!
